66-Pitch Perfect Game Thrown In California By Michael Strem In Playoff Victory For St. Francis In Central Coast Section Division I

Perfect games are hard to throw in baseball and one of the most "perfect" perfect games was thrown in California on Tuesday night, as Michael Strem needed just 66 pitches to complete his game for Mountain View (Calif.) St. Francis School.

According to Yahoo Sports, Strem needed just 66 pitches to retire the 21 batters he faced and he had eight strikeouts in the game. The team won in the second round of the California Interscholastic Federation Central Coast Section Division I playoffs 2-0 after a single by St. Francis batter Mark Cardinalli brought in the winning runs.

St. Francis went to 26-4 while Monta Vista was down to 13-14 while Strem threw for 48 strikes out of 66 pitches.
