Arsenal great Robert Pires wants David Villa to make a move to Arsenal, while another legend Tony Adams has put out his wishlist for his former side to bring in this summer.
Both Adams and Pires know what it is like to win with Arsenal, having garnered multiple titles during their time with the English Premier League side.
It has been disappointing for the former players to watch Arsenal struggle to compete at the top, while going barren on the trophy front for over eight years.
Pires and Adams have no doubts about Arsene Wenger still being the right man for the job, with the former, who also played in La Liga for Villarreal, imploring the Arsenal manager to make a bid for Barcelona forward Villa.
"Villa is a very good player, score many goals, his time at the club has been hard, complicated," Pires told Sport. "If he comes to Arsenal, it will be very easy for him to adapt.
"If Villa wants to raise his level, the best option for him is to play for Arsenal, who will be in the Champions League yet again."
Pires also believes Arsenal needs to add experience to their squad. "He (Wenger) has changed the philosophy at the club, he brought in young players like (Theo) Walcott, (Alex-Oxlade) Chamberlain and (Aaron) Ramsey, these players are very good for the future but now they need to buy some players with experience to give a good mix," Pires added on Sky Sports.
Adams concurs with his former Arsenal teammate and listed out his club's defensive requirements in the summer.
"Lately Arsenal have become very solid and (Laurent) Koscielny and (Per) Mertesacker have gained a confidence together, but defensively I think they are still short -- I'd like to see them sign another center-back, a couple of full-backs and possibly a keeper."
Adams believes bringing a couple of winners to the squad will go a long way in instilling the confidence in Arsenal's players to go on and clinch a trophy.
"The fans are desperate for a trophy of some sort," he added. "I would like the players to get used to winning. If you have never had that experience of crossing the line as a winner you don't know what it is like to be a winner.
"Jack Wilshere is very important to the club, but you can't rush him. I think he has played more games than Arsene (Wenger) would have wanted him to play following his injury, but he's such an influential player for us."
