NBA Playoffs Bracket: Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs in Finals

The Miami Heat are in the NBA Finals and the brackets show they will now face the San Antonio Spurs for the 2013 NBA Championship. Both teams are experienced in the postseason and they have some of the best ballers in the NBA. Here are some matchups and the road these teams took to wind up in the NBA Finals.

The Heat fought hard though they were the heavy favorite in the series. They wound up playing Miami Heat basketball in Game 7 as they did it on both ends of the court playing defense and finishing at the basket. The first two rounds were relatively easy for the Heat as they breezed by the Milwaukee Bucks in four straight games. They then took out the Chicago Bulls in five games. The Pacers, who are young and missing a true star, rose to the occasion and they pushed the Heat to the brink.

So much for the questions of injuries, Dwyane Wade stepped it up and brought out everything he had in Game 7 scoring 21 points. LeBron James was himself dropping 32 points. Now, the Heat will focus on the Spurs.

San Antonio is smarter, wiser and more experienced than the Pacers. They might give up sprees of points, but they know how to come back from big deficits, just ask the Golden State Warriors. The Spurs haven't been extremely challenged in the playoffs. They are 12-2 and the only losses they suffered were at the hands of the Warriors in the second round. The Spurs were too much for the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round and then they were too much for the Memphis Grizzlies who they swept in the Western Conference Finals.

The Heat will come into this NBA Finals as the No.1 overall seed while the Spurs had the second best record in the Western Conference and have the third best record in the NBA's regular season.

Here's what these two teams had to go by before getting to the NBA Finals.

Miami Heat:
vs. Milwaukee Bucks: 4-0
vs. Chicago Bulls 4-1
vs. Indiana Pacers 4-3

San Antonio Spurs:
vs. Los Angeles Lakers 4-0
vs. Golden State Warriors 4-2
vs. Memphis Grizzlies 4-0
