Tim Tebow has gotten a lot of press over the past few months about where he is going to end up and when that talk turned to New England, reports came out that it wouldn't work out since head coach Bill Belichick "hated" him and disliked his style as a player.

According to ESPN.com, Belichick said Thursday to ESPNBoston.com that the reports of him saying that were not true and that it was inaccurate. He said that he didn't want to speculate about the possibility of signing every single free agent out there and said that the reports about his feelings on Tebow were unsubstantiated. He didn't say whether or not the team would sign him or not, possibly meaning there is some chance, even if it's one percent.

Tebow worked with Patriots coach Josh McDaniels in Denver and he was the one who drafted him in the first round. McDaniels is a sharp offensive mind and he could possibly find a way for the team to use Tebow. Belichick was seen as a possibility before that first report came out from Yahoo Sports and there were connections, as Tebow had a pre-draft visit with the team in 2010.

Tebow is still a free agwnt after being released and if the Patriots picked him up and were able to use him in a good way, it would be something that the team could stick to the NY Jets in the division.

"I wouldn't get into the probability of us pursuing any free agent. Every single player has strengths and weaknesses but regardless of that, for anyone to have represented that is the way I feel about Tim Tebow is completely untrue, baseless and irresponsible," Belichick told ESPNBoston.com. "It is unfortunate that something so inaccurate was reported."
