Denver Broncos Rumors: Tim Tebow Teammates Wish Quarterback Well With New England Patriots, Eric Decker, Champ Bailey and John Fox Comment On QB Deal

Tim Tebow is now with the New England Patriots and while his season with the New York Jets was a disaster, his time with the Denver Broncos before that was a good one to look back on, which is why his former teammates there wished him luck in his new situation.

According to USA Today, some of Tebow's teammates and coaches wished him luck with the Pats, including Eric Decker, Champ Bailey and John Fox. Tebow was with the Broncos after being drafted in 2010 by then coach Josh McDaniels and now he is in New England with the coach. He took over a 1-4 team for Fox and led them to the playoffs with seven wins in 11 games and the team defeated the Steelers in amazing fashion in overtime that season.

Tebow was eventually traded to the Jets and we all know how that went and now Decker was able to wish his teammate good luck on his new team, saying that he was a great teammate and that he is excited to see what he can do. Tebow was not prolific with the Jets, rushing for 102 yards and passing for 39, but that was more the fault of the team, as they had no idea how to use him or even why they traded for him in the first place. Oh yeah, it was because the Giants won the Super Bowl and they wanted to win the back page again. Well played dudes.

Tebow was amazing in college at Florida, passing for nearly 10,000 yards and throwing 88 TDs with just 16 picks and he also added nearly 3,000 rushing yards and 57 touchdowns with just three fumbles in four seasons while winning two titles, leading the way in one and winning a Heisman.

-- "I'm happy for him. He's an unbelievable competitor and a good teammate, and I'm excited to see what he can do in New England," said wide receiver Eric Decker, who was part of the Broncos' 2010 draft class with Tebow.

-- "He's a classy guy," cornerback Champ Bailey said. "He's hard-working, and he's going to do everything you ask him to do, and that's all you can ask from a young player."

-- "I really can't speak too much about who and where he is now, I can just speak to the experience we had with him. He did a tremendous job for the Broncos, for me as the head coach and our whole coaching staff and his teammates. I'll just leave it at that," Fox said.
