Fantasy Football 2013 Preview: Tips, Advice and Draft Options, Quarterbacks and Players To Avoid, Sleepers and PPR Primer For NFL Season

The NFL preseason is almost here and that means that fantasy football drafts are coming down and are just around the corner and for some advice on how to win your league this year, here are some tips, preview options as well as sleeper players, players to avoid and the top quarterbacks to take on draft day.

There are a number of new players on new teams and other quarterbacks that have gotten upgrades around the offense that makes them higher rated, including names like Carson Palmer, Ryan Tannehill, Josh Freeman and Christian Ponder. For players in PPR league, wide receivers are a very important position and with catches being the most important stat, it is wise to take receivers early, as a number of the top names put up some great numbers last season.

In PPR leagues, players with over or near 100 catches will be going fast, so it is wise to pick them early and often and depending on what the quarterback draft situation is, going for the wideouts or tight ends is a smart move. Last season the top six players with receptions in the league were over 100 and there are a number of names that will likely get there this season, including Erick Decker, Victor Cruz, Dez Bryant, AJ Green and Roddy White, while names like Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall and Jason Witten should jump off the board quickly, as should Andre Johnson and Wes Welker.

It might be also a good idea to check out teams that are using West coast-style offenses, including the Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs. Some under the radar players that could surprise include Randall Cobb, Brian Hartline, Alshon Jeffery as well as Jordy Nelson and Dwyane Bowe. Some of the top quarterbacks may be gone by the time it's time to draft one, but names like Eli Manning, Josh Freeman, Carson Palmer and Andrew Luck might be hanging around and they are names that could put up good numbers.

On top of that, some running backs that could be valuable while catching the ball out of the backfield include Darren Sproles, Danny Woodhead, Reggie Bush, Adrian Peterson and Steven Jackson.
