Aaron Hernandez Girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins Mourns TE Uncle After Crash Death, Fiance Deals With Second Accident To Relative After Thaddeus Singleton Car Wreck

The Aaron Hernandez murder case has been one of the most talked about topics around the NFL and along with the upcoming trial and other court issues, other incidents related to the Patriots star have happened, including the death of his uncle in a moped crash in Connecticut.

According to the Associated Press, Robert Valentine of Bristol, who has been identified as Hernandez's uncle and the brother of Terri Hernandez, the tight ends mother, died last week in a crash in Connecticut and was identified by Bristol police. The report says that it was the second fatal wreck involving a relative of Hernandez, as Thaddeus Singleton III of Bristol also was killed in a car crash and now his girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins is left to mourn for herself and Hernandez as he is sitting in jail awaiting trial for the murder of Odin Lloyd.

The report says that Singleton was killed after crashing his car into a country club building in June and he was married to Hernandez' cousin, the same cousin who shared a home with arrested accomplice Ernest Wallace and also had her phone taken away by police as evidence when she appeared in court. Hernandez is currently in lockup and charged with first degree murder in the death of Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro football player that was found shot to death less than a mile from Hernandez's home in North Attleboro on June 17. Hernandez was arrested soon after and charged with first degree murder in the crime and he is tied to it through cell phone records, video surveillance and shell casings as well as other evidence.

Hernandez and Lloyd were connected through his fiancé Shayanna Jenkins, as he sister Shaneah was dating Lloyd at the time of his death. It has been reported that the four often hung out together and that Hernandez and Lloyd were friends for a two year period after they met. Lawyers say that Lloyd's death may be connected to a dispute at a nightclub between himself and Hernandez that may have been connected to a previous double murder in Boston from last year. Hernandez is currently being held in solitary confinement and he could be facing life in prison if he is convicted on the charges,

Hernandez originally was agitated with police when they started asking him questions and after he learned that Jenkins was also talking to police, he called her and told her to stop. Jenkins has appeared in court multiple times to see Hernandez and he is being held without bail. Wallace and another accomplice Carlos Ortiz are being held in jail in connection to the crime and Ortiz reportedly is working for police and told authorities where Hernandez may have put guns, possibly the murder weapon which hasn't been found, and also said that Wallace told him that Hernandez said he admitted to the crime. Hernandez will next be in court on Aug. 22 for a probable cause hearing that was delayed last month so the lawyers could have more time to prepare their case.
