The Indianapolis Colts begin their preseason exploits hosting the visiting Buffalo Bills into town Sunday afternoon at 1:30 pm ET.

Last year, the Colts were in year one of their rebuild coming off of a 2-14 season in 2011. That was one of the worst seasons in franchise history which prompted major changes. The Colts had a front office overhaul including the coaching staff. They also cut ties with many of the big-name players that helped them with all their success including the Super Bowl XLI victory. Gone was Peyton Manning and most of the offense. In was Andrew Luck, the 2012 first pick of the NFL Draft, and many new faces. The Colts were going to have to rely on first year players on offense and 4-3 defensive players playing a new 3-4 scheme.

The Colts overachieved and showed this team of youngsters actually have talent. They went 11-5 and made the AFC Wildcard round. Unfortunately, they were beaten by the Super Bowl champ Ravens, but nevertheless it was a great season.

After returning most of the core and signing 10 impact players to fit this system a Super Bowl isn't out of the reach for this team in 2013. The Bills, on the other hand, are in rebuild mode but without the talent.

Gone is coach Chan Gailey and in is first year coach Doug Marrone. He has never been a head coach in the NFL as he was previously the coach of the Syracuse Orange from 2009 through last season. Marrone went 21-17 in Syracuse with going 8-5 in 2010 and 2012 with the Orange. They won the New Era Pinstripe Bowl in both of those seasons.

Marrone does have offensive experience in the NFL as he was New Orleans' offensive coordinator from 2006-2008 and offensive line coach of the Jets from 2002-2005.
