The Los Angeles Dodgers keep finding ways to win as they continue dominating teams with their bats. The Dodgers continue to increase their National League West lead with a season-high 7 1-2 game lead after defeating completing a three-game sweep against the Tampa Bay Rays. They hope to keep up their good fortune at the plate as the New York Mets come to Dodgers Stadium.

Los Angeles has  league-best 37-8 record since June 22, but more impressive is that they are averaging 7.6 runs per game while averaging a .366 batting average. Carl Crawford, Yasiel Puig and Skip Schumacher have been leading the impressive offense during their win streak.

The team will send Ricky Nolasco to the mound who is seeking his third straight win with a 3.65 ERA. While Nolasco is winning now, he has struggled against the New York Mets, losing his last six starts against New York. He has a 4.30 ERA against the team, but since being acquired on July 6, Nolasco is 3-1 with a 3.00 ERA.

The Mets are on a little win streak of their own, winning five of their last six games. New York will send in Jenrry Mejie to try and cool down the booming Dodgers' bats. The right-hander has a 1.96 ERA this season. Mejie will hope the New York bats can mimic the Dodgers on Monday night. Wilmer Flores has stepped in for David Wright. In his last two games, he has gone 4 for 8 with four RBIs while hitting his first major league home run on Sunday.
