Tim Tebow Rumors: Patriots Quarterback To Play More After Ryan Mallett Head Injury In Preseason Week 2 vs. Buccaneers? Florida QB Opening PDQ Restaurant In Jacksonville

New England Patriots quarterback Tim Tebow has finally found a place where he can take a slight backseat when it comes to media attention, as tight end Aaron Hernandez has become the center of the universe in the area after being connected to a murder investigation and after playing in the preseason against the Eagles, Tebow may get another chance in Week 2 against the Buccaneers.

Tebow usually brings quite the media circus in whatever he does and while that happened right after he signed, the Patriots have much more on their plate right now, with Hernandez as well as with Rob Gronkowski coming back from multiple surgeries. Tebow has kept himself busy after the team finished with OTA workouts, as JaxDailyRecord.com reports that the quarterback is moving along with his building of a PDQ restaurant in Jacksonville and that work is set to begin in August on the location.

The report also said that Tebow is looking at another location as well. Tebow was so-so in his preseason debut and after Ryan Mallett's head injury, he could get more time in Week 2 against the Bucs.

The report says that Tebow is building a one-story "People Dedicated to Quality" restaurant at the location and that the quarterback had been planning to open one locally in his hometown sometime in the future. The building permit for the construction project is being reviewed by the city and the restaurant is being built on a $1.1 million budget. PDQ restaurants are a Tampa chain that serves chicken sandwiches, tenders, turkey, salads and milkshakes and the plans for Tebow's project has exterior patio space.

Tebow is from the area and previously won a high school championship at Nease High School before winning a BCS championship at the University of Florida. Tebow was drafted number 25 overall by the Denver Broncos and was traded to the New York Jets before being released and signing with the Patriots. The report says that Tebow will be financially supporting multiple restaurants from the chain in the area and that there are nine restaurants altogether in Florida and North Carolina at the present.

Tebow has been quiet in New England apart from his first few days there and now that the Hernandez case has enveloped the offseason for the Patriots, he has been able to remain in the background. Head coach Bill Belichick is likely to just use him as a quarterback despite some reports and the recent trouble for the tight ends, but if anybody can handle the situation, it's Tebow. Although he won't get the chance to start in NE, it's a much better situation than last season with the Jets.
