Jeremy Lin Rumors: Houston Rockets Star Talks Dwight Howard, Being An All-Star, Offseason Work, Trade Talk In NBA.com Interview

The Houston Rockets are thinking championship after signing Dwight Howard to a contract this summer from the LA Lakers and one player that will be very important to the team winning is point guard Jeremy Lin.

Lin was solid last season after signing a three-year deal with the team after being a breakout star with the Knicks and while there is room for improvement, Lin proved that he could be a starting point guard in the league. Lin sat down with NBA.com for an interview and spoke about many of the issues going on with him this year, including working on changing his posture as well as mental toughness, playing at an All-Star level and getting better in the offseason.

Lin averaged 13.4 points and 6.1 rebounds last season and while the Rockets made the playoffs, Lin was injured for most of the series against the Thunder and was replaced by backup Patrick Beverley. The Rockets have a nice core around Howard with Lin, Chandler Parsons and James Harden and Lin will have to continue developing for the team to be a champion.

GM Daryl Morey said that center Omer Asik will remain and that the core of the team will stay intact. Harden showed last season that he could be a primary scorer and now he will get the chance to play off Howard. The team is expecting a deep run in the playoffs and Lin will be a big part of that.
