NFL Preseason Rookie Grades: Geno Smith, Mike Glennon, Tyler Wilson, E.J. Manuel, Matt Barkley Look Decent In First Game Action

The NFL preseason has been an interesting ride for some players as they are trying to win starting spots on rosters and it has been an exciting time for rookie quarterbacks, including names like Geno Smith, Tyler Wilson, EJ Manuel and Mike Glennon.

Not all the rookie quarterbacks playing have an actual chance at getting a starting job, but with over 15 fist-year players getting some time in games, here is a look at some of the top names and how they have performed and what chances they have to make rosters this season.

EJ Manuel was the Bills first round pick and he just had a knee procedure so he likely won't be the starter over Kevin Kolb when the season begins and while he looked good in the first game, he also had some issues with his command and will need time to develop in the offense, but the team and Doug Marrone love what he has done so far.

Geno Smith will likely have the chance to start, but he hasn't done too much so far to show he deserves it. Mike Glennon, Tyler Wilson and Matt Barkley have all played okay as well.
