Houston Rockets Rumors: Stan Van Gundy Talks Dwight Howard, LeBron James, NBA Championships, Coaching Interest In Interview

Stan Van Gundy was never a coach that bit his tongue, often lashing out at players and referees as well as commissioner David Stern himself at times and now that he has been out of the NBA for a while, he sat down with ESPN and the True Hoop blog for an interview about a wide range of topics.

According to ESPN.com, Van Gundy now guest-host each week on Dan Le Batard's Miami radio show and he has always been a natural guy on television and in the media and one day could be a great analyst like his brother. Van Gundy spoke on a number of interesting topics, but the most interesting was about his relationship with Dwight Howard over the years and when he was coach of the Orlando Magic.

Van Gundy said that him and Howard remain friends and often text each other and that he always personally got along with and liked Dwight. He admitted the two had their disagreements, but that they had a good relationship and accomplished a lot of things together on the court for the Magic.

Van Gundy also spoke about the media and the 24-hour news cycle and about the NBA is covered and also about how often coaches are getting fired. Van Gundy said he never got frustrated by the media despite their reports at times and doesn't have any major regrets about his time with the Magic.
