Seattle Seahawks: Richard Sherman Slams Jim Harbaugh, 49ers Over Sportsmanship, Rips Media After Defeating San Francisco in NFC West Showdown

Anthony Dixon is probably regretting giving the Seattle Seahawks bulletin board material prior to the 49ers Sunday night matchup. The running back tweeted out that he was preparing to playing the "She-Hawks" in a hostile environment. He later deleted the comment, but not before multiple media outlets caught wind of the remark. Well, the Seahawks certainly made him pay and now Richard Sherman is calling out all those who doubted them.

Seattle certainly took notice of Dixon's comments, defeating San Francisco 29-3 while intercepting Colin Kaepernick three times.  After the game, Sherman really showed a lot of sportsmanship towards the media.

"There are a lot of pundits and ignorant idiots who thought, 'Oh, the Seahawks are gonna lose this game.' Well, please, please don't doubt us again," Sherman said, via NBC's Michele Tafoya. "Every time you doubt us, you look stupid."

Sherman was responsible for Anquan Boldin being a non-factor in the game. After putting up over 200 yards against the Green Bay Packers, he only recorded one catch against the Seahawks. He told the media that the lone catch happened when he was not responsible for covering Boldin. Sherman believes this was a statement win for the Seahawks, proving the team is on another level than others.

Sherman is not only calling out all those who doubted the Seahawks prior to the game, he is also ripping on 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh for showing poor sportsmanship after the game. In the postgame, Sherman tapped Harbaugh on the shoulder, assuming to tell him "good game", and Harbaugh continued to jog off the field.

"I told him good job, good game, but he didn't give me nothing back," Sherman said. "I guess sportsmanship doesn't go both ways."

Harbaugh on the other hand is insisting he did not realize it was Sherman trying to get his attention. "I didn't realize it was him until he was moving in the other direction. He came up and patted me on the back, and I congratulated him and same with Doug (Baldwin) and I congratulate the Seahawks, they played a hell of a game."

It is easy to believe that this will only heat up the growing rivalry between the two teams. Both considered potential Super Bowl teams, actions like this will only make things more heated.
