Vince Young has agreed to a one-year $2 million deal with the Buffalo Bills to be their backup quarterback for the 2012 season.

Young can make up to $1 million more in performance incentives as part of the deal.

The deal comes almost two weeks after Young worked out for the Bills at their facility in Orchard Park, New York. Bills wide out David Nelson was part of that workout, he told reporters that Young looked great to him.

The former Heisman winner spent last season with the Philadelphia Eagles where he struggled. Young appeared in six games, throwing for 866 yards, four touchdowns and nine interceptions. His passer rating of 60.8 was a career low.

For Buffalo, this is just another piece in an impressive offseason that included free agents Mario Williams and Derek Anderson, as well as the addition of Stephon Gilmore with the 10th pick in the draft.

With all the moves, the Bills finally look like they might have a team capable of ending their 12 year absence from the post season.
