The New Orleans Saints are hosting the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3 of the 2013 season. The Saints will try to continue their perfect season, while the Cardinals will simply try to find a way to slow down Drew Brees and this lethal offense. The Saints prove how much a coach means to a team. He might not be the one of the field making the plays, but for the Saints, Sean Payton has been the difference between a losing season and a so far perfect season. The Saints got off to a quick start in the 2013 campaign, defeating the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both teams in their division. They haven't won comfortably, winning both games by a total of eight points, but they have played tough games and taken home the victory.
Drew Brees has been as excellent as always. He has completed over 50 percent of his passes, going for 679 yards and three touchdowns. Jimmy Graham has been his favorite target as Brees has hit him 14 times for 224 yards and two touchdowns.
Over in the Cardinals' camp, Larry Fitzgerald finally has a quarterback with an arm and Carson Palmer has an above average receiver he can hit down field. However, the Cardinals need to work on keeping Palmer on his feet as the quarterback has been sacked five times this season. It's not horrible, but the longer Palmer is on his feet, the higher the chances that he will find a player open down field.
The Cardinals are 1-1 in 2013. They lost to their division rival, St. Louis Rams, in Week 1, but they bounced back to defeat Calvin Johnson, Matt Stafford and the Detroit Lions in Week 2, 25-21. The Cardinals made every possession count, especially late in the game as Rashard Mendenhall took it to the house with less than two minutes remaining in the game. The Cardinals scored 12 unanswered points to put this one away as the defense was able to hold the Lions' mighty offense.
