Von Miller Suspension Rumors: Denver Broncos LB Tried To Corrupt Sample With Help Of Urine Collector To Avoid Positive Test

The Denver Broncos are preparing for the Monday night game against the Oakland Raiders and while this is going on, the team is dealing with some off the field issues, as more new about linebacker Von Miller and his suspension came out on Monday, including that he may have tried to mess with his test.

According to a report from ESPN.com, Miller was originally suspended for a violation of the substance abuse policy and it was at first for four games, but then rumors started to circulate that Miller have tried to influence the test, which is why it was later extended to six games and now there has been confirmation from Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen as to why that went down. Miller has not had the best offseason, as he was suspended and he also was arrested for a traffic issue that came up from earlier in the summer.

The report from ESPN.com says that Miller ran the risk of being suspended for the whole season for his actions and now based on what happened, it could change how the league even implements its drug policy and collections. The report says that Miller worked with a urine collector to try and mess with his sample to avoid testing positive and later it was found out that he tried to "corrupt" the process.

The report says that the NFLPA was going to appeal the suspension, but after finding out that the linebacker may have tried to corrupt the test, it was dropped. According to the article, a tested was "star struck" with Miller and said that he would have tried to switch samples in the test with clean urine, but it was noticed by another collector and while ESPN.com reports that their "source was "reasonably certain" no money changed hands between Miller", he now has a longer suspension.
