The fantasy football season is moving into Week 6 after another exciting slate of games and while my team is down, it's not out, as the record is now 2-3 on the season after a win last week and some players to look at and analyze going forward are Julio Jones, Percy Harvin, Ronnie Hillman, Alfred Morris and Nick Foles as well as DeAngelo Williams and Drew Brees.
This past week the team lucked out that the other team started Michael Vick, as he was injured on Sunday against the Giants and did not put up as many points as he otherwise would have if he finished out the game. Mt team is in crisis mode though, as Julio Jones will likely be lost for the season and that is a huge blow to the team, as he has been one of the main reasons why I've been able to remain afloat, as the league is a PPR league and he has 41 catches already this season.
Jones has been having a great year and now he could be out for the rest of the season after dealing with a foot injury and that would be a huge loss, as he has been targeted in the double digits in every game this season apart from one. He has put up some fantastic numbers of 41 catches for 580 yards and two touchdowns and he ranks first in the league in catches, second in yards and second in per catch average and now the Falcons will have to find a way to overcome that.
Jones has been key while Roddy White is dealing with ankle and hamstring injuries and over the past three games he has made at least six catches for at least 99 yards in each one, including three straight in the middle of the season with over 100 yards receiving. The wideout had his best game in the win over the Rams in Week 2, making 11 catches on 15 targets for 182 yards and a touchdown and now he will be gone for the season.
Percy Harvin is on my roster since this is a keeper league and while he isn't quite close to returning yet, he could become very valuable towards the end of the season. Many felt that Ronnie Hillman would be the top running back in Denver this season and he has been considered a sleeper by many heading into the year, but it hasn't panned out that way, as he has just 137 yards and 32 attempts, but the tide could be changing.
After having just five carries over the first two weeks and getting just one against the Giants, he has had two straight weeks with double digit touches and last week against the Cowboys he added four catches for 42 yards, crucial in my PPR league. He has had 18 carries over the past two weeks for over 50 yards and while that production isn't fantastic, it is much better than what he was trending towards this season. Hillman could get more carries this week against the Jaguars and that could be a huge boost for the fantasy team. Nick Foles and Alfred Morris will also be solid options for the team going forward.
