The Clemson Tigers have been one of the most impressive teams in the nation this season and they are ranked third in the country as they host Boston College in an ACC conference matchup that will be on ESPN2 and ABC in certain regions starting up at 3:30 pm.

Clemson has started the season 5-0 after defeating Syracuse last week and they are now 3-0 in the ACC and they will be hosting an Eagles team that is 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in conference play this year. The Tigers have gotten some strong play from quarterback Tajh Boyd and the team currently ranked 11th in passing yards per game and they have been winning by wide margins, including the last two weeks when they scored nearly 100 combined points and allowed just 21 points. The defense has been playing very well this season along with the offense, allowing just under 20 points per game and the team has not allowed over 14 points since the opening win against Georgia.

Last week Boyd passed for over 450 yards and added five touchdowns and he has been completing over 65 percent of his passes, including at least 70 percent in each of the past two weeks. Boyd has played well over the past five games, going for over 300 yards in each of the past two weeks with eight touchdowns and just two interceptions.

Clemson has been on a roll over the past few weeks and they are coming off big wins over Syracuse, Wake Forest and NC State, which came after opening against South Carolina State and Georgia in the opening game of the season. The Tigers are heading into the big ACC matchup before playing at home against Florida State in what could be one of the biggest games of the year, as it could have national implications for whoever wins. The team then has two games on the road against Maryland and Virginia and then they will play against Georgia Tech and Citadel before finishing with a huge game of South Carolina that also could have some BCS implications.

Boston College plays on the road against North carolina next and then they will play Virginia Tech and the final stretch of the season has NC State and Maryland before a road game against Syracuse. The game on Saturday will be starting at 3:30 pm and will be on the road against Clemson.
