The Michigan Wolverines have gotten off to their best start in recent years under coach Brady Hoke and after winning their first five game to go 5-0, the team will be travelling to Beaver Stadium to play Penn State in a Big Ten matchup that will be live on ESPN at 5:00 PM.
Michigan comes into the game at 1-0 in the conference while Penn State is 0-1 with a 3-2 record and Michigan will be looking to avoid the upset on the road after playing against Minnesota at home last week in an easy game and that came after a close road contest against UConn that was much closer than anyone expected. The Wolverines have played well this season, but apart from last week's game and the opener, all the games have been close and against Notre Dame they were able to win 41-30 and now Penn State marks a stretch of two road games in three weeks and a tough conference schedule with Indiana and Michigan State upcoming.
Michigan comes into the game after opening the season with a huge win against Central Michigan and Devin Gardner has been playing very well for Hoke, helping the team to gain nearly 400 yards of total offense per game, including a nice amount last week against the Gophers and now they play against a Penn State team that is 3-2. The Wolverines next will play Indiana at home on the Big Ten Network and then is the big game on the road against Michigan State and playing the Spartans there is always a tough thing to do even when the team is not ranked.

The team plays Nebraska next at home and then has to make the tough trip to Evanston to play the now 19th ranked Northwestern Wildcats who have only lost to Ohio State this season, while an away game against Iowa is next and then the team finishes the season against number 4 Ohio State and that will be game that should have national and conference implications as well as BCS implications for the Buckeyes most likely. Michigan is ranked 27th in the nation in both points for an against and the team is scoring nearly 40 points per game while allowing just under 20 and they are doing a good job rushing the ball, going for nearly 180 on the ground per game.
Penn State comes into the game after a loss to the Hoosiers and they play Michigan before a big matchup on the road against Ohio State and that agem will be on ESPN or ABC and could be a huge matchup. The team is playing Michigan on Saturday at home at Beaver Stadium and the game starts at 5:00 PM.
