The Aaron Hernandez murder case has continued to go in and out of the courts the past few weeks and on Monday the man himself was back for another hearing, as the judge in the case was set to hear a motion about recusing herself and while she decided against the motion, Hernandez's fiancé Shayanna Jenkins was in the court once again to support her fiancé.
According to ESPN.com, Jenkins was in court on Monday after missing the previous hearing and she is dealing with some issues herself, as she is charged with perjury in the case and is facing a serious sentence in regards to that since it's a murder trial. Jenkins has been questioned by police about the possibility that she disposed of the murder weapon in the case and she was later charged with perjury for allegedly lying to the grand jury in the case.
Jenkins appeared in court to see Hernandez, who was wearing a pink tie with a checkered shirt and a blazer jacket in his hearing and he did not speak to the judge. The judge decided to keep herself in the case despite the motion and ESPN analyst Roger Cossack said the state made a mistake by asking, saying they embarrassed themselves in the case and while that won't affect how the judge rules, it could have issues later.
Cossack said that the arguments did not add up to much and that he was not surprised that it was declined, while he also said that the main lawyer could get replaced for the mistake. Cossack also added that a trial could come in summer or fall of next year and the next court hearings will be for motions, evidence issues and for setting a trial date.
