The NFL schedule is moving into Week 9 after the Seahawks and St. Louis Rams play on Monday night and with Seattle looking like the favorite, let's take a look at some Super Bowl odds for the season.
The Seahawks are one of the favorites and so are the San Francisco 49ers after defeating the Jaguars in London and the Denver Broncos won again as well. The redskins played tough but the Broncos ended up at 7-1 and now the Kansas City Chiefs are considered one of the top teams now that they are still undefeated at 8-0 and teams like the Jaguars and Giants have their odds totally blown, even with NY winning two straight.
Last week the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers played on Thursday night football and with a number of big matchups coming this weekend and six teams on a bye, here is a look at some updated Super Bowl odds heading into the games and the favorites are the obvious ones in the Seahawks, Broncos, Saints, 49ers and Patriots.
The Denver Broncos should remain in the top spot the rest of the season unless they suffer an injury to a big player and while they are coming off of their first loss of the season to the Indianapolis Colts, there's no doubt they are the favorites to win it all. The team opened the season 6-0 in dominating fashion with Peyton Manning playing some of the best football of his career and while the team is now 6-1 and behind the Kansas City Chiefs in their division, not many see Andy Reid's team as better than Denver. The battler the rest of the season should be good between these two teams and they will play against each other twice in three weeks in the back half of the season.
The Chiefs are the last undefeated team in the NFL and this comes after a 2-14 season and according to ESPN.com, Kansas City if the first team to have the worst record in the league on season and then go on to be the last undefeated team left the following year. The Broncos have been giving up a ton of yards through the air this season, but that has mainly been because teams have had to come back from big leads, but that Cowboys shootout was troubling. The defense should get better with the return of Von Miller and even though they are giving up yards, they still appear to be the best team in the AFC even with their first loss.
The Broncos will play the Redskins next and then the team has a bye and then comes a tough divisional stretch with three road games in four weeks, including an away game against the Chargers. The team has a brutal stretch with two games against the Chiefs as well as a road matchup against the New England Patriots and they will finish the season with two games on the road.
