There are other alternatives if you rather not pay for the action. You can always listen to the radio stream or follow the live scoring updates online.

It will be recommended that baseball fans everywhere tune into this game. Jon Lester and Adam Wainwright will be on the mound and this could be the best game of the series so far. Wainwright failed to keep his part of the bargain in Game 1 as many expected a pitchers duel. Instead, the Red Sox greeted him rudely. Other the other side of the ball, though Lester is no postseason slouch, the Cardinals had the advantage as Wainwright will surely finish second only to Clayton Kershaw in the Cy Young Award race.

However, neither team has really taken a huge lead in the game, nor have they scored many runs. Chances are fans will be pleased to see a great pitchers duel as both guys have done great jobs in the postseason.

Lester has a 3-1 record in four starts made with a 1.67 ERA. The one loss was against the Detroit Tigers in the ALCS, but he only allowed one run as the Red Sox could not provide run support. He pitched 7.2 innings of scoreless baseball against the Cardinals in Game 1. With David Ross behind the plate, the duo has been unstoppable. Just to be clear, a 1.67 ERA is equal to 27 innings of five earned runs.

Wainwright has gone a bit cold. After winning his first two games against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Wainwright has not won again. The Cardinals are 2-2 with their ace on the mound, but their bats have failed completely when the righty takes the ball. In the last 12 innings Wainwright was pitched, fans have seen the big man surrender five earned runs; an anomaly.
