The Golden State Warriors are coming into the season as one of the surprise teams in the NBA after defeating the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs last year and they are coming into the game after a loss to the Clippers to take on the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night at Oracle Arena at 10:30 pm.
The Warriors have had some fantastic play on offense this season after winning against the Lakers and losing against the Los Angeles Clippers and that could be a sign of things to come, but the scoring defense is troubling for head coach Mark Jackson, as he puts an emphasis on sound defensive play. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have been playing great so far this season and each had 38 points in a game this season, with Thompson doing it in the blowout against the Lakers and Curry dropping that in the loss to the Clippers. The Warriors have the talent to be a force in the west and they are currently ranked first in the NBA in scoring through two games and now they will matchup against a Kings team that has also split its first games.

The Kings are also coming off of a loss to the Clippers and that game saw DeMarcus Cousins lead the way with 10 rebounds and four assists and he is one player that will be around long lerm, but the Kings decided earlier not to put in extensions for Greivis Vasquez or Patrick Peterson and that could mean big changes coming ahead. The team is currently ranked 18th in scoring and 25th in rebounds per game and it will be a good test for them to play against the Warriors. Andre Iguodala had 11 assists for the Clippers in the loss against the Clippers and now the two teams will match up on Saturday night with the Kings and the Warriors.
The Kings are under new management with a new owner, GM and coach and they are facing a team that can score in bunches. Both Thompson and Curry are excellent shooters and the addition of Iguodala has been working out well so far. Thompson had a career high 38 points against the Lakers and the Warriors got nine threes from Curry in the next game and they will be focused on Cousins, who had 24 points in the game before with another double-double after putting up 30 points and 14 rebounds in the first win over the Denver Nuggets and now they will be relying on young players to get things done this season.
