English Premier League Results and Table: Manchester United Draw With Tottenham As Wayne Rooney Scores, Liverpool Upset While Chelsea and Man City Win

The English Premier League schedule was back on Sunday and the table took shape after a number of games and exciting matches, including Manchester United pulling a draw with Tottenham after Wayne Rooney scored two goals in the game, including one on a penalty kick, while Liverpool was upset by Hull City and both Chelsea and Manchester City pulled off wins with three goals.

The Manchester United and Tottenham game was the early match and it was the most exciting one of the day, as Kyle Walker started off the scoring for the Spurs before Wayne Rooney scored his first goal of the game and then after Sandro put the Spurs ahead, Rooney added a second goal on a penalty to tie the match and it ended on a draw. Man U is eighth on the table standings and still behind Arsenal and the Hull City and Liverpool match ended in an upset, as Liverpool only got a goal from Steven Gerrard and Hull City got goals from Jake Livermore and David Meyler to take the lead before an OG from Martin Skrtel and they pulled off the upset. Chelsea was dominant on Sunday with a 3-1 win against Southampton and they got goals from Gary Cahill, John Terry and Demba Ba.

Chelsea was clicking on all cylinders and Southampton only got an early goal from Jay Rodriguez a minute into the match before getting trampled. Manchester City was dominant over Swansea City and they ended up winning 3-0 in the match with a goal from Alvaro Negredo and two from Samir Nasri. Liverpool fell after their loss and now the table is starting to take shape again and after this weekend and number of teams moved around and Arsenal was able to keep their lead with a win.

Check here for the league table and results.

Manchester United is eighth on the table with 22 points and are nine back of Arsenal at the top. Liverpool dropped to third on 24 points, behind Chelsea, who host Southampton later on Sunday, on goal difference. Manchester City moves into the top four with a win at home to Swansea City. Hull moved up to 10th on 17 points.

Rooney scored twice to help Manchester United stretch their unbeaten run to 12 games in an entertaining 2-2 Premier League draw at Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool were upset 3-1 at Hull City on Sunday. Rooney twice leveled for United in a captivating game at White Hart Lane, showcasing his poacher's instinct to cancel out Kyle Walker's opener before firing home a penalty after a Sandro thunderbolt had put Tottenham back in front.

Champions United remained eighth on 22 points, nine behind leaders Arsenal, with Tottenham a further point back.

Hull, who had never beaten Liverpool, opened the scoring on 20 minutes thanks to a huge slice of good fortune, Jake Livermore's shot from distance cannoning off the boot of Martin Skrtel and looping over keeper Simon Mignolet.

Liverpool leveled thanks to a curling free kick from Steven Gerrard but their lackluster performance was punished in the second half when David Meyler latched on to a loose ball and buried it into the bottom corner. Skrtel deflected in a Tom Huddlestone shot with three minutes remaining to wrap up the points for Hull.
