The Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Kansas State Wildcats will be playing one of the top games on the NCAA college basketball schedule on Saturday and the matchup will be on ESPNU starting up at 4 pm and it will be streaming online from WatchESPN and comes before an anticipated matchup against the Texas Longhorns and has Marcus Smart looking to move OSU up the top 25 from their current place as sixth in the nation.
The Cowboys are coming off of a big win against Robert Morris and will start up their conference schedule and they come into the matchup with Kansas State averaging just over 85 points per game and the team has been shooting over 50 percent from the floor this season to rank in the top 10 in the country. The team has only lost one game this season to Memphis and they have won five straight since losing that game and coming up are a number of anticipated matchups, including the game against KSU at Fred Bramlage Coliseum, while there are also games with Kansas, Baylor, Iowa State, Oklahoma and Texas Tech coming up.
Smart is leading OSU in scoring this season and he has been playing very well despite scoring a season low against Robert Morris and while he has struggled a bit lately, he will be the main focus for the Wildcats defense. KSU is coming off of a win against George Washington and then they will play on the road against TCU next and then they have a tough schedule coming up with games against ranked teams in Kansas and Iowa State and they have a road game later in the season with Iowa State and they will finish the season with three ranked games in a row against ISU, Oklahoma State and then Baylor and that will be a tough start to finish the season. The team comes in ranked 81st in rebounds per game and 55th in assists and the team is shooting just 41 percent from the field and that could be an issue for the game against Oklahoma State.
