LeBron James Needs 40 to Keep Miami Alive

It is simple, the Miami Heat have not been able to win because they have not been able to score as a team. The one player consistently scoring every game is LeBron James. The Heat will need a big night from him.

So far in the series, James has scored 159 points. Overall, James put in 478 points. The heat have scored 1,530 points in the playoffs, meaning James has scored 30 percent of the team's points.

What should James' gameplan be in in Game 6?

Take the ball and put in the hole. He should only give the ball to Dywane Wade when he is 10 feet from the basket and maybe pass the ball to Mario Chalmers when he is open from three.

James has to be more aggressive than usual. He cannot remain with the ball in his hands on the perimeter and allow the Celtics to double team.

LeBron is strong and agile, making him hard to defend and when fouled, he is able to finish.

He does not want to go another playoff trip without winning the ring he has sought after since he began his career. He has everything else on his resume but the ring.

James has to silence critics and just pour it on the Celtics tonight. As of late, he has had a bad history of fourth quarter moments.

Even in the All-Star game people said he choked as he passed on a shot and tried giving the ball to Deron Williams.

In Game 5, he let Paul Pierce hit a three-pointer that gave the Boston Celtics a four-point lead as seconds were left to play in the fourth quarter.

LeBron will have to score 40 tonight if the Heat want to play a Game 7, accompanied by stellar defense. He cannot allow inferior players to dominate him on defense and he cannot let them score against him on offense.

This might seem like a lot for James, but he is capable of doing it. All he has to do is imagine himself in a Cavaliers jersey, when nobody else in his team could score.

LeBron would go on scoring rampages and finish the night in the high-30's and 40's.

When it is all said and done, LeBron will be a Hall of Famer. Karl Malone and John Stockton never won NBA Championships and they were excellent players.

A player the caliber of James should not go his whole career without winning a championship. If nobody is willing to help his legacy, then he must go after it himself starting tonight in Game 6.
