The English Premier League schedule saw Manchester United draw against Fulham on Sunday after a wild match and that came after Chelsea took over the lead on the table Saturday over Arsenal after the Gunners were knocked out of the top spot after a rough loss to Liverpool and now the Blues have first place coming into the EPL schedule this week, while Man U drew after the club went down 1-0 before goals from Robin Van Persie and Michael Carrick scored in the second half.
The Manchester United match was an exciting affair at Old Trafford and after going down 1-0 in the first half from a goal by Steve Sidwell from Fulham, the club bounced back late with scores from Robin Van Persie and Michael Carrick and it looked like Man U had the win in their hands. As the match came to a close, Darren Bent added a goal in extra time and the draw was set and now Manchester United remains in seventh place on the league table.
Chelsea took over first place in the Barclays on Saturday after Arsenal was defeated handily at the Anfield against Liverpool at 5-1 and now the Blues have the advantage heading into the schedule this week. The Gunners fell to second and Manchester City couldn't take advantage after their results and now they are in third place ahead of Liverpool, who are now six points back on the table behind the Blues. Tottenham moved up into fifth place on the league table after winning over Everton and that came after a goal from Emmanuel Adebayor and now they are two points up on Everton in the standings.
Man U is next on the table ahead of Newcastle and Southampton, while Swansea City and Hull City are next on the table. The week picks up on Tuesday and Wednesday with Arsenal and Manchester United playing at the Emirates and other games on the docket includes Cardiff City and Aston Villa, while Chelsea will be taking on West Brom on the road at The Hawthorns as they try to remain at the top of the league table over the Gunners. Liverpool will get their chance to keep playing well with a match away against Fulham at Craven Cottage, while Manchester City plays against Sunderland at the Etihad. The league then takes a break for the FA Cup, Champions League and Capital One Cup finals before Chelsea and Everton start up the next Saturday and Arsenal will be matching up with Sunderland.
