Jarrett Jack Trade Rumors: Golden State Warriors Target Harrison Barnes Deal, Cleveland Cavaliers Offer Luol Deng After Sacramento Kings, Brooklyn Nets End Negotiations

The Cleveland Cavaliers have taken Dion Waiters and Kyrie Irving off the market, but still intend on being buyers before the approaching deadline. That leaves very few tradeable pieces that teams would be interested in. While Luol Deng could easily be sent packing before the deadline, Jarrett Jack is getting the most interest.

Over the past three days, several teams have inquired about the price tag for the guard. The veteran is having a decent season, putting up 8.4 points and 3.8 assists per game in just over 25 minutes of play. The eight-year veteran has bounced around recently, but many teams believe he can be a solid rotational player to help with a playoff push.

The Brooklyn Nets were the first to seriously pursue Jack from the Cavaliers. The News-Herald reports that the Nets and Cavaliers were negotiating a trade that would swap Jack for Jason Terry. However, the contract status of Jack put the talks on hold. Terry has one year left on his current contract and is owed $5.8 million in that final year. Jack on the other hand has three years remaining on his contract, each worth $6.3 million with a team option in the third year. That is certainly enticing to the Nets, but Cleveland was not thrilled taking on Terry's deal.

The Brooklyn Nets have since moved their interest elsewhere. The team is now negotiating with the Sacramento Kings about a blockbuster trade that would send Reggie Evans and Terry to the West Coast in exchange for Marcus Thornton. The veteran is putting up career-low numbers this season and does not appear to be a better option over someone like Jack. However, Thornton will come cheaper than Jack with a better contract to his name.

The Sacramento Kings have also asked about the availability of Jack. The team is trying to be aggressive considering they are tied for the worst record in the Western Conference. The Kings are looking for a veteran and ESPN's Marc Stein reports they targeted Jack in a deal. It is unclear what the Kings were offering in return. They are shopping Jimmer Fredette, but it is not confirmed if he was involved in this deal or not.

Now, the Golden State Warriors are an option for Jack. According to Ric Bucher, the Warriors are willing to give up a player like Harrison Barnes in order to acquire the veteran. This is a lopsided deal, but the Cavaliers believe getting Barnes would keep Irving happy enough to stay with the team. The Warriors have said they only plan on moving Barnes for a blockbuster return package. FOX Sports reports the Cavaliers could include Luol Deng in the deal, but with Andre Iguodala and Klay Thompson on the court, it would be an odd fit.
