The Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder are playing live on ABC on Sunday afternoon and the matchup will be streaming online from OKC as LA visits Chesapeake Energy Arena at 1 pm ET and is a matchup of two of the best teams in the west and two of the top players in Kevin Durant and Chris Paul, while Russell Westbrook made his return from injury last week.
The Clippers come into the game after a loss against the Grizzlies and that was on the road and the team continues their trip and now they play against Oklahoma and they are the top team in the west and the entire NBA heading into the second half of the season. The team then plays against the New Orleans Pelicans on the road and the Clips come in with a 37-20 record and they are first in the Pacific division and are looking for a better result in the playoffs than last season when they were beat in the first round.
The team comes into the game second in the league in scoring and third in assists and Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan has the team 15th in rebounding and the defense is allowing 100 points per game. Griffin is leading the team in scoring and he will be the main focus for OKC, as the Thunder come into the game after a bad loss against the Heat and that returned the favor after the Thunder did it to them earlier in the season in South Florida. Durant led the way with 28 points and eight rebounds and that was the first game back for Westbrook and now he will be the primary focus as the team gets him back into the lineup.
The team hosts the Cavaliers next and that is on Wednesday and the Thunder come into the game as the best team in the northwest division and they are the best team in the NBA right now. The team ranked sixth in the NBA in scoring with 104 points per game and they are also sixth in defense and seventh in rebounds per game and the team is also in the top 15 in assists and this is a top matchup.
