Syracuse and Florida State are playing on Sunday in the final ACC game for the teams this season and the college basketball matchup starts up on ESPN3 at 2 pm ET and streaming online from the Donald L. Tucker Center for FSU and the Seminoles are looking to finish the season on a positive note heading into the conference tournament.
The Orange come into the game after a loss against Georgia Tech and after starting the season undefeated through 25 games, they have slipped up a bit and now have lost four of the past five games heading into the postseason. Jim Boeheim said his team is ready for the ACC tournament and despite losing the regular season title to Virginia after a loss on the road against the Cavaliers, the team fell to Georgia Tech and now are trying to end the season with a win. The team only won against Maryland in that stretch and that was by two points and they also suffered losses to Duke and Boston College.
CJ Fair needs to get his game going as the team hits the ACC tournament and they can put their late season struggles behind them with a good showing in the tourney and a win could change everything. Syracuse has been one of the best defensive teams in the nation and they will have to rely on that to be successful in the postseason this year. The team looked like a lock for a number one seed at different points during the season and now they have to try and finish after a tough stretch of games and they come into things seventh in the nation. Fair led the team in scoring with 28 points against Georgia Tech, while Tyler Ennis had seven assists to top the team.
