NBA Summer League Schedule and Standings: 2014 Las Vegas Bracket and Game Records

The NBA Summer League 2014 standings and schedule picks up on Tuesday with six games and the top teams in Las Vegas this year are the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Washington Wizards, Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans with the best records, while the Blazers, Atlanta Hawks, Timberwolves, Clippers, Rockets, Miami Heat and Washington Wizards are in action.

There have been a number of impressive players in the summer league so far, including the top two picks in Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker and they have looked good and now things push into the second part of the week. The schedule on Tuesday has six games and then leads into the summer league playoff bracket and that will have the first round on Wednesday and then the second round on Thursday before the quarterfinals over the weekend and the last two stages into the next part of the week.

The Summer League is not always the best barometer to measure players, but if gives teams a chance to play young stars against other pros and also for teams to work out new schemes and positions. For someone like Derek Fisher it also gives him a chance to coach for the first time before heading to be the Knicks new man and he has done a good job in Vegas so far. The Knicks come in at 3-0 as one of the top teams in the tournament and they played on Monday.

The games on Tuesday have the Blazers and the Hawks matching up and that will showcase CJ McCollum and Thomas Robinson, while the Timberwolves and Bulls also are playing after that. Doug McDermott has been solid and he comes in with Tony Snell looking to help the Bulls get better and they just added Pau Gasol in free agency.

The Houston Rockets and LA Clippers are playing and the Rockets are coming in after losing Chandler Parsons to the Mavs and they are hoping some young players can step things up. Miami and the Wizards are playing on Tuesday and the Heat have been hoping Shabazz Napier develops into a great player, while the other games include the Sixers and Suns, while the Jazz and Denver play the late game. Dante Exum has been getting high praise so far and he looks like a budding star for Utah. The summer league continues this week and has the bracket on Wednesday and through the weekend and soon enough, training camps will start for teams and the season will be here.
