Wimbledon 2012 TV Schedule: Listings for the Week

Wimbledon 2012 continues to live up to the reputation as one of the well-deserved anticipated tennis tournaments of the year.

So far there have been expected winners continuing their tournament dominance, as well as some surprise upsets of big names on both the men's and women's side.

For women's No. 1 ranked, Maria Sharapova of Russia, her hopes of winning a second Wimbledon title were shattered as she was beaten by No. 15th ranked, Sabine Lisicki of Germany, in the fourth round. Sharapova was on the verge of becoming the first player, since Serena Williams in 2002, to win both the French Open and Wimbledon the same year.

Serena Williams, ranked No. 6th, continues on after surviving a grueling match against unranked Yaroslava Shvedova in the fourth round of the Women's Singles. Williams will participate in the Women's Singles Quarterfinals, against the number four ranked Petra Kvitova, on Tuesday, July 3rd.

Coverage for the match will be hosted by ESPN. Coverage of Courts 1 and 2 will be aired from 7 am-4 pm on ESPN 2. Coverage of Centre court will be aired from 8 am-1 pm ET on ESPN.

On the men's side No. 3 seed Roger Federer, of Switzerland, has already advanced to the men's quarterfinals where he will face opponent Mikhail Youzhny, of Russia. No. 1 ranked Novak Djokovic, of Serbia and Montenegro, has yet to advance as he faces fellow Serbia and Montenegro countrymen, Victor Troicki, in the men's fourth round.

Coverage of the men's fourth round will be hosted by ESPN. Courts 1 and 2 will be aired on Monday, July 2nd from 7 am-5 pm ET on ESPN; Centre court will be aired from 8 am-3pm ET on ESPN. Continued coverage of the men's quarterfinals will be aired on Wednesday, July 4th; Court 1 from 7 am-4 pm ET on ESPN 2 and Centre Court from 8 am-3 pm ET on ESPN.

Later coverage of both the men's and women's finals will also be hosted by ESPN and aired for the remainder of the week.

Thursday, July 5th the Women's Semifinals will be aired on ESPN from 8 am-1 pm ET and the Women's Final on Saturday, July 7th from 9 am-2 pm ET on ESPN with an encore showing on ABC from 3 pm-6pm ET.
