The NY Yankees are looking to make moves on the trade market and they are looking at John Danks and Cliff Lee and they have now acquired Chase Headley for Yangervis Solarte to lock down third base after fluctuating players all season.
According to ESPN.com, the Yankees have acquired Headley from the Padres and the team will pick up some of his salary after acquiring him, with San Diego picking up $1 million. Headley is a nice option for the team and he has been mentioned in rumors for the past couple years and now he has been traded. The Yankees will pay the rest of his salary and he previously had 31 home runs and led the National League with 115 RBIs in 2012 and he has 13 home runs this season.
The Yankees are also reportedly looking at John Danks with the Chicago White Sox.
