Wimbledon 2012 TV Schedule and Matchups Federer and Djokovic in Action Wednesday

The stage is finally set for the Men's 2012 Quarterfinals at Wimbledon.

Only eight men remain and they will battle it out to see who gets into the Semi-finals.

Roger Federer will go against Mikhail Youzhny to kick off the action from Day 9 at 1 PM in London time 8 AM EDT.

Federer is ranked third at Wimbledon, while Youzhny, who hails from Russia, is ranked 33rd.

For Youzhny, it is the first time he is in a Wimbledon Quarterfinals. Throughout his 12-year career as a professional, he has never surpassed the fourth round at the tournament.

Federer is no stranger to Wimbledon. He won Wimbledon from 2003-2007 and then won again in 2009 totaling six tournament championships. Federer lost in the Quarterfinals in both 2010 and 2011.

David Ferrer (7) and Andy Murray (4) will take over following this first match on Centre Court.

Murray, who is from Great Britain and Ferrer, a Spaniard, both seek their first Grand Slam title. Murray has eight years competiting professionally and has never won. Meanwhile, Ferrer has 10 years playing without capturing a title.

Number one ranked Novak Djokovic will go head-to-head with Florian Mayer (26).

Mayer is competiting in the Quarterfinals at Wimbledon for the second time in his 9-year career. Back in 2004, his first year at Wimbledon, he made it all the way to the Quarters. He never returned to a Quarterfinals in a Grand Slam tournament.

For Djokovic, he enters his 5th Semis at Wimbledon. Djokovic is not only the No. 1 ranked player but he is also the defending Wimbledon champion after winning the tournament, his first, last year.

Philipp Kohlschreiber (30) will look to surpass a Joe-Wilfried Tsonga that looked practically unbeatable in the fourth round against Mardy Fish.

Tsonga lost the first set, but then rumbled back to win the next three sets and wrapped up the match.

Kohlschreiber enters his first ever appearance in a Quarterfinal at a Grand Slam tournament. Tsonga looks to improve on his previous two performances at Wimbledon when he was eleminated in the Quaters in 2010 and last year he was bounced out in the Semis.

These four players will have their match on Court No. 1. Djokovic and Mayer will take the court first at 1 PM, 8AM EDT.

You can catch the action on ESPN.
