Real Madrid and Sevilla are playing on Tuesday for the UEFA Super Cup and the match is live from 2:45 pm ET from Cardiff City Stadium for the high profile matchup and big names like Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez should be in the lineup and the game is live on TV and streaming online from Fox Sports 1 and Fox Soccer 2 Go.
The Super Cup 2014 has Real Madrid and Sevilla as the UEFA Champions League and Europa League champs and Ronaldo is looking to get things started this year on a good note. Real Madrid won the Champions League title against La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid and now the team will try and win the Super Cup for the first time in over a decade and this will have the big names and expensive trio of players on the pitch together.
Bale came over on a record transfer last summer and now Rodriguez comes in after breaking pit in the World Cup and he joins Ronaldo to form the most expensive group of stars in the league. Real also added Toni Kroos fresh off his World Cup win with Germany and that was a nice signing, as Kroos was being chased by a number of teams, including Manchester United. The three are expected to start and Kroos should be in the lineup with Keylor Navas and Karim Benzema as Real tries to show a full roster before the season opens up.
Real Madrid has as good of a lineup as anyone in the world right now and the battles with Barcelona and everyone else in La Liga this year should be fierce. The team is also coming in as the Champions League champs and having Ronaldo along with Gareth Bale and James should be plenty for the club in the tournament this year. Bale should be even better this season, as he had tons of pressure coming over last year and now he should be able to settle in relatively easier and the start of the season should be better for him as well.
The UEFA Super Cup match has two La Liga teams matching up in Wales and the annual match is coming ahead of the season start in Europe and now these two tournament champions face off. Sevilla won over Benfica for the Europa title and that came after penalties when the game was scoreless after extra time. Bale comes in as the key for the team this season and he could be a massive draw on Tuesday, as he is from Wales and will be playing in front of his countrymen.
Real Madrid will not overlook Sevilla and Ronaldo may be out for the game or will get limited time, while Xabi Alonso is out for the match. Kroos also adds another element and he was scouted heavily by other teams last year and he likely will be out there with Luka Modric for the match.
