Colorado Rockies stars Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez will be out for the season after dealing with injuries and this comes as the two players were mentioned in trade rumors, including with the NY Yankees and now that talk could pick up this offseason, as the Yanks need to replace Derek Jeter at shortstop after this year.
According to ESPN.com, Tulowitzki will be out for the rest of the season after undergoing hip surgery and this comes after he was already on the DL. Tulowitzki was having an excellent season before going down and this is a major issue for him in his career, as he has consistently dealt with injuries in the past.
According to the Denver Post, Gonzalez will also be out for the rest of the season and he was previously placed on the DL with a knee issue. The report says that he is also dealing with an ankle injury and after test showed that his knee was not getting better, he was shut down as well. There is a chance that Gonzalez could be back, but Hardball Talk reports that's unlikely.
