2014 NFL Schedule Regular Season: Week 1 Games Start With Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers Thursday

The 2014 NFL schedule for the regular season in Week 1 opens on Thursday night and it will have the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers matching up on NBC to kick off the year, while the rest of the schedule picks up on Sunday and Monday with the rest of the league in action and coverage is from CBS, FOX and ESPN for TV coverage through the weekend.

The first game of the season has the Super Bowl champions Seahawks hosting the Green Bay Packers at CenturyLink Field and it starts up at 8:30 pm ET on NBC. The matchup is a great one to start the season and has two NFC playoff teams matching up with each other and this gives the Seahawks their first chance to hit the field after winning their championship. The Packers and Aaron Rodgers know how this feels and they will be looking to upset the home fans with an away win.

The first week of the season has some great matchups, including the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons from the Georgia Dome. That game starts off the 1 pm ET hour and starts up on FOX, while the other games at that time include the Rams and Vikings as well as the Browns and Steelers in an early divisional battle. The Oakland Raiders will visit the NY Jets on the east coast, while the Jacksonville Jaguars open with a game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Bengals and Ravens play another divisional matchup, while the Buffalo Bills visit the Chicago Bears for their first game of the season. The Washington Redskins have the new look Houston Texans in Texas, while the Titans and Chiefs start off in Kansas City at 1 pm ET as well. The New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins are also live during the 1 pm ET hour and that is from Sun Life Stadium.

The National FOX games include the Carolina Panthers against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys could be one of the best games of the week. The Sunday night schedule also has a great matchup, with the Indianapolis Colts visiting Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.

The Monday night football schedule starts up with the New York Giants taking on the Detroit Tigers, while the doubleheader continues with the San Diego Chargers and Arizona Cardinals at 10:20 pm ET. The first week has some great games and everything gets started off with the Seahawks and the Packers in Washington.
