The Michigan Wolverines and Notre Dame Fighting Irish are playing live on the NBC channel for the college football schedule and the game has a live stream from the NBC Sports Live Extra website online as ND hosts at Notre Dame Stadium and begins at 6:30 pm ET and this is the final rivalry game for the Big Ten powerhouse and the Irish and while it likely will pick up years from now, Brady Hoke and Brian Kelly will finish off things with Devin Gardner and Everett Golson facing off at quarterback.
Michigan comes in after erasing the demons of App State and they got a big win with solid games from Devin Gardner and Devin Funchess and now Brady Hoke will be looking to get the final win in this series. The two teams will not be playing for the foreseeable future and the Wolverines have called the Irish chickens for it and they have good reasons to think that. The Irish lost last season and the majority of the matchups in recent years and now they will have one final go around.
Michigan has a tough conference to deal with this season and that includes Michigan State, Ohio State and Wisconsin and they will be playing the Buckeyes to end the season. The Wolverines have Miami of Ohio next before playing against Utah and then the Big Ten schedule really opens up and they have a tough slate of games. The team plays two of three on the road and that has Michigan State and Rutgers and then the team has Indiana after those games and Penn State right in the middle.
The team finishes the season with Northwestern, Maryland and then Ohio State and that is a tough slate to end the year. Golson comes into the game after passing for nearly 300 yards in his first game back since being suspended and he had two touchdowns and now the team is trying to win the final matchup against each other for a while. Michigan and Notre Dame first played in the late 1800s and they were supposed to play until 2031 before the Irish backed out and while they have tried to downplay that, it's exactly what they did.
Notre Dame won big against Rice and they are looking to get back to the national championship if they can and they have a very tough schedule and that could put them in position to make a major jump this year. The team was killed by Alabama and now after playing a tough slate to start the season they will have the champs in Florida State. Both school have experience with football players in rape cases and trying to sweep it under the rug and that should be tough on the road in Tallahassee and comes after games with ranked teams in Stanford and North Carolina.
