Former Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas died on Saturday night after a car accident involving his SUV near his home in Nashville, which occurred after 11 pm ET and comes after the Titans released him in March and Bironas married Rachel Bradshaw, daughter of Terry Bradshaw, in June.
According to ESPN.com, the 36 year old Bironas lost control of his SUV while driving on a curve after 11 pm ET and police said in a statement that the car was speeding when it went off the road. The car hit some trees and ended upside down after the accident. Bironas was pronounced dead at the hospital on arrival at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and as of right now, no drugs or alcohol are believed to be involved in the crash.
Bironas previously played nine seasons for the Titans before being released in March.
