The Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks are playing live on the NBA preseason schedule and the matchup is on NBATV and starts up at 8:30 pm ET from American Airlines Center as Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook take on Dirk Nowitzki and Chandler Parsons in this matchup of west teams ahead of the start of the regular season.

Durant comes into the season after his MVP performance and now he is looking to get his team back to the finals after OKC fell short last year. The team has one of the best duos in the league with Durant and Westbrook and they will be looking to get the Thunder going early on once the season starts up. The Mavericks have high expectations after playing well against the Spurs in the playoffs and they have a new star in Chandler Parsons coming in to help on offense.

The Mavericks come into the game after losing to the Houston Rockets and Parsons led the team in scoring and they will next play against the Pacers on Sunday. The team feels it will be better than last season when they were the number eight team in the west. Parsons signed a new contract after he felt a bit disrespected by the Rockets and he should help keep the Mavs in the top 10 in scoring after they averaged 104 points per game last season.
