Olympics 2012 Women's Tennis Live Stream: Watch Serena Williams vs. Maria Sharapova in Finals 9 a.m. ET

Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams will take Centre Court on Saturday morning and battle for the Women's Singles Tennis gold medal in the finals.

The action will begin at 9 a.m. ET/ 2 p.m. GMT on Saturday afternoon from London. A win for either player will mean a first time gold. Sharapova has never been an Olympic in the past and this is the furthest Serena has made it into competition.

Maria Sharapova advanced to the women's final after defeating Russian teammate Maria Kirilenko in two straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. Sharapova's opponent,  Serena Williams defeated the No. 1-seeded Victoria Azarenka.

Serena made it look easy, as she has done with her other opponents. She defeated Azarenka in two straight sets 6-1, 6-2. Now Serena stands just one win away from claiming her first Women's Singles gold medal.

It is an important step in the 15-year veteran's career, who might be playing in her last Olympic events. She has never won gold in the Olympics for Women's Singles and after her near flawless performance on Friday, she placed herself one win away from accomplishing the feat.

As for Sharapova, she is only 25-years-old and has at least one more, maybe two Olympic events ahead of her, but of course, she would love to cease the moment and capture goal on Saturday.

Sharapova is now guaranteed at least a silver medal following her dominant display against the 14th seed on Saturday.
