The Women's Beach Volleyball Finals will begin on Sunday and defending gold medalists Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings will be in action at 2 p.m. ET/7 p.m. GMT.
They will attempt to repeat as champions in the London 2012 Olympics and they will face Marta Menegatti and Greta Cicolari in the quarterfinals.
So far in the preliminaries and Round 16, the May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings have yet to lose. They recently played against the Netherland's Marleen van Iersel and Sanne Keizer. They won that matchup in two games.
They also defeated duos from Czech Republic (Kolovoca/Slukova), Austria and Australia.
Menegatti and Cicolari, representatives of Italy, have alsowon all their matches in the London 2012 Olympics. They defeated Mc Elsa Baquerizo Milla and Liliana Fernandez Steinerl of Spain.
They defeated Canada's duo of Annie Martin and Marie-Andree Lessard. They also beat Great Britain's dup of Zara Dampney and Shauna Mullin. Their first victory came against Russia's Ekaterina Khomyakova and Evgeniya Ukolova.
