Olympics 2012 Women's Water Polo Live Stream: Watch Australia vs. Hungary for Bronze Medal at 1:40 p.m. ET

The final day of women's water polo competition nears its peak with the bronze medal match between Australia and Hungary, scheduled to begin at 6:40 p.m. local time in London, 1:40 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time in the United States.

The match will be broadcast live on NBC in the United States, and will be streamed live online at NBCOlympics.com and through the NBC Olympics Live Extra App on mobile devices.

Australia was the pre-Olympic favorite to win the gold medal, and ran through group play in impressive fashion, but found tough going in the medal rounds. First, the Australians got all they could handle from China in the quarterfinals, eventually advancing in a penalty shootout. Against the United States in the semifinals, the Australians found themselves playing from behind for most of the match, and while Ash Southern gave her country the chance to go to overtime with her last second penalty shot, fatigue eventually caught up with Australia, as the U.S. scored an 11-9 win. Nicola Zagame leads the Australians with 11 goals in five games, while Southern has 10.

Hungary scored an upset in the quarterfinals with an 11-10 win over favored Russia, but was unable to replicate that performance against Spain in the semifinals, falling by a 10-9 margin. Dora Antal leads Hungary with 11 goals, followed by Barbara Bujka with 10.
