Zenit St Petersburg confirmed they have made a bid for Manchester United winger Nani, while Universidad de Chile announced Angelo Henriquez would join the Red Devils this month.
The Portuguese international has been haggling over a new contract with United the entire summer, and is understood to be a little disillusioned by the club's refusal to meet his salary demands.
Nani, ever since arriving at Old Trafford has delighted and frustrated fans in equal measure, with the tricky winger capable of creating a moment of magic at one minute, but throwing away a golden opportunity at another.
During the course of last season, Nani found himself on the bench a few times last season, with Sir Alex Ferguson preferring Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia. While Valencia's place in the first team in pretty much secure after a brilliant campaign, it remains to be seen if Nani is willing to fight for his place.
The arrivals of the likes of Shinji Kagawa and Robin Van Persie, though both players do not play in the wingers position and therefore is not a direct threat to his place, has nevertheless increased the competition for places. Nani is reportedly concerned about his role next season, and with contract talks on hold, is considering his future at the club.
Russian club Zenit are looking for reinforcements after seeing Andrey Arshavin return to Arsenal and manager Luciano Spalletti confirmed a bid had been made. "The news about Nani is true," the Italian said.
"Everything will depend on how much players cost because we won't pay excessive amounts of money."
Spalletti admitted the deal would move forward only if United were ready to consider making one. "I'm not talking about an offer to a particular player, but an offer to a club," he added.
"If the club won't sell a player, then there's no thought of making an offer to the player himself."
Meanwhile, Universidad de Chile confirmed Angelo Henriquez will move to Manchester United this month, after the clubs agreed a transfer fee believed to be £4 million ($6.2 million).
"Angelo Henriquez will join Manchester United this month," Universidad de Chile said in a statement.
"The player is physically and mentally prepared to take this determining step in his career."
Henriquez completed a medical on Tuesday, with it being believed the 18-year-old would be immediately loaned back to his former club for another season. However, now it looks like Ferguson wants the highly-rated teenager to adapt to his surrounding at Old Trafford as soon as possible.
"I am coming to stay at Manchester United and I'm going to play to obtain (my dream)," Henriquez told La Tercera.
"They are giving me this opportunity and I can't let it go, it is something that I have searched for my whole life. It's a dream I have always had and I can't afford to not want to be here.
"Everything is spectacular here in Manchester. For me it is all a dream.
Imagine it, just to be able to play and share a dressing room with people like Wayne Rooney. It's a dream."
