Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Nick Foles Trade For Andre Johnson With Houston Texans Option? LeSean McCoy Traded Without New Contract?

The Philadelphia Eagles may try to trade up for Marcus Mariota in the draft and if they do that, Nick Foles could be traded and teams like the Houston Texans and Rams could be interested and this comes as Andre Johnson is on the trade black and LeSean McCoy could be released if he doesn't work out a new contract for Chip Kelly, as he has a decent cap hit heading into the 2015 season.

--UPDATE: LeSean McCoy reportedly has been traded to the Buffalo Bills for Kiko Alonso. According to Adam Schefter at ESPN.com, the deal has been agreed to and will be official next Tuesday. McCoy's agent said no deal is yet "finalized", but sources report that the trade has been agreed to by the teams. Alonso previously played for Chip Kelly at Oregon.

Kelly comes in with personnel control over the Eagles after getting that power this offseason and that means he could go after Mariota if he wants. NJ.com reported that Kelly is interested in making a move and this comes after he was the head coach for Mariota at Oregon. Foles has been solid for the Eagles, but Kelly may be looking for his own franchise QB. Pro Football Talk reports that LeSean McCoy could be in danger of getting released or traded, as he has a high cap hit and could get asked to restructure his deal.

LeSean McCoy's future with the team could be a bit up in the air, as the Philadelphia Inquirer & Daily News reports that the team wants him to take a pay cut. The report says that McCoy is open to restructuring his deal, but that he does not want to take a pay decrease this year. While the Eagles don't want to get rid of one of the best backs in football, the team wants to lower McCoy's $11.95 million cap number. McCoy's deal is through the 2017 season and if he is cut, he will count for over $4 million in dead. The Texans have said they may try and trade Andre Johnson without him taking a pay cut and if that doesn't happen, he could be released.

Foles has won 14 games under Kelly in two seasons and he has shown that he can be a solid starting quarterback in the NFL. Foles had a breakout 2013 with 27 interceptions and just two picks in 13 games, but last season he took a step back. Foles played in only eight games before coming down with a collarbone injury, but in that time he was completing less than 60 percent of his passes and had 13 touchdowns and 10 picks. The previous season he completed 64 percent of his passes and looked better in Kelly's offense.

NJ.com reported a couple weeks ago that Kelly and the Eagles were "plotting" to make multiple moves to get Mariota. The Eagles have a mid-first round pick and likely would need to get to the first two picks for a chance at Mariota. That is a tough task for any team, but the Eagles have trade options with Foles, all of their draft picks and possibly LeSean McCoy. According to Phil Sheridan at ESPN.com, McCoy will be asked to restructure his deal this offseason and if that doesn't happen, he could get moved.

According to NJ.com and Pro Football Talk, the Eagles may have interest in Jake Locker this offseason. Kelly will need to bring in a new backup even if he keeps Foles, as Mark Sanchez is on the market and he is not expected to return. Locker comes in after four up and down years with the Titans and he has dealt with injury issues the past two seasons. Kelly saw Locker up close while coaching against him in the Pac-12 and he could look at him as a backup option for Foles or a bridge for Mariota if he can get him.
