Sir Alex Ferguson revealed Angelo Henriquez would be the final signing of the transfer window for Manchester United, in a summer which has seen the likes of Robin Van Persie, Shinji Kagawa, Nick Powell and Alexander Buttner make their moves to Old Trafford.

United fans have been crying out for a midfielder for quite a while now, but if the words of Ferguson are taken at face value, that player will have to wait until at least January.

"We definitely won't be buying anyone else," Ferguson is quoted as saying on the club's official website. "There is no movement about anyone going the other way."

United confirmed the shirt number of new signing Buttner, with the left-back handed the No 28 shirt for the upcoming season. "We've been monitoring Alex for a while," Ferguson said during the defender's unveiling Friday. "He's a straightforward, attacking, quick full-back who will be a terrific addition to our squad.

"Patrice Evra has played an average of 48 games a season for the last five years, an incredible statistic. He's still a fit lad but he is in his 30s now and Alex gives us good back-up.

"He will provide Patrice with a good challenge."

Buttner said his new teammates had already helped him settle in nicely at Old Trafford. "I feel good. It's a dream to play for United," the 23-year-old said. "I know I can learn so much from the players here and I can't wait to play with them.

"It's a nice club and everyone has helped me settle in. I feel really pleased to be here."

Ferguson said United had been tracking Henriquez, who will return to Manchester to sign personal terms after being granted a work permit, for some time and moved quickly to seal the 18-year-old striker's signature to curtail other clubs from making a move. "Henriquez is on his way back to Manchester. He had to go back to Chile after he got the work permit on Tuesday. We've had an option (on him) since he was 14 when he played against our youth team," the United manager said.

"He came over when he was 15 and then 16. We kept in close contact with him in that respect and, when he got to 18, it was a matter of whether or not we left him for another year or brought him in. But he had such a good summer with Chile's Under-20s that we thought it wasn't worth waiting. We may as well do it now.

"That took away a lot of interest from other clubs. We had the option on him, but options only last so long and we decided to take him in. He's quick and a good finisher and he has a terrific physique for a boy of 18. He should be here on Sunday."

On team news, Ferguson revealed Robin Van Persie, who signed from Arsenal last Friday, could start the game against Fulham Saturday, but admitted problems at center-back persisted, with just Nemanja Vidic available.

"Phil Jones started training yesterday but tomorrow is too soon for him," the Scot said. "Robin has had a few days training since Monday. It's a home game and there's every chance he could get a start.

"It's pretty much the same as Monday night injury-wise. Alex will be involved tomorrow because he gives that back-up. Evra could actually play centre-back. He has done in the past. But I don't think Alex will start tomorrow, I think he'll be on the bench."
