There will be plenty of soccer action to witness over the weekend as the 2012 FIFA Women's World Cup in Japan continues. It will be the beginning crucial final games of the first round qualifiers on Saturday.
First up on the field will be Brazil versus Korea Republic at 3:20 a.m. ET/4:20 p.m. JST (Japan Standard Time).
Brazil has yet to lose a game, but they have yet to win a game either. They have managed to win both of their games with goals in the last minutes of the match. They tied with Italy in the first match of the World Cup and then tied with Nigeria.
They are currently in third place of the Group B standings and only the first two teams make into the quarterfinals. A win over the Koreans could get them in.
Since the Koreans defeated Italy 2-0 in their matchup, they qualify to the quarterfinals with a victory over Brazil.
They will not have to wait too long to find out the result of that match as Italy and Nigeria will also kickoff at 3:20 a.m.ET/4:20 p.m. JST.
As of now, the only hopes of the Italians to get in the quarterfinals is with a win over Nigeria. They are sitting in last place. Their win, matched with a Korean loss would help them advance. Nigeria has been tough all competition long and will look to punch their ticket to the next round.
Saturday's matches will decide who advances from Group B.
