NFL Preseason Schedule 2012: Washington Redskins Face Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Washington Redskins and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will meet in their last games of the NFL 2012 preseason. Even though exhibition games, both teams were really looking forward to showing fans what they have in store for the 2012 season.

Many analysts will tell you that both divisions, the NFC East and South are up for grabs as all teams have their own issues heading into the new season.

The Redskins are now powered by one of the most electrifying young quarterbacks, Robert Griffin III. Without any indication of how the back would react to NFL competition, the Redskins sought out wide receivers to serve as targets for their quarterback of the future, Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan.

So far the offense has meshed as they have a 2-1 record in preseason. They defeated the Buffalo Bills 7-6, lost to the Chicago Bears 31-33 and defeated the Indianapolis Colts and Andrew Luck 30-17.

For the Buccaneers, many believe this will be Josh Freeman's coming out party. They have been patient with the young quarterback and they sought out a big receiver for him by the name of Vincent Jackson over the offseason.

With the New Orleans Saints missing their head coach, Sean Payton, their division looks wide open. The Atlanta Falcons are the favorite with Matt Ryan running the offense, but many also believe the Carolina Panthers will be the team to beat. Nevertheless, nothing is written in stone as teams can have players injured during the season, which could jeopardize their performance.

For the Redskins, the same situation is occuring in the NFC East. Many analysts believe the Dallas Cowboys will not be competing and they are not giving the New York Giants the benefit of the doubt to repeat as winners once again. They think it is the Philadelphia Eagles' year to triumph. With Michael Vick out during the preseason, the Eagles will have to get it together as the season rolls along.

The Giants always have question marks and they always manage to get it done, but look for the Redskins to challenge the Giants every step of the way.

The Redskins vs. Buccaneers game starts at 7 p.m. ET.
