English Premier League Standings: Chelsea Sitting on First Place Overall, Swansea, West Brom and Mancity Follow

Although early, Chelsea is sitting on first place in the Barclays Premier League standings. With three consecutive wins at the beginning of the season, Chelsea is off to a hot start.

Their first victory of the year was a 2-0 defeat of Wigan on the road. They then defeated Reading and Newcastle at home. Chelsea defeated Reading 4-2 and Newcastle 2-0.

Right behind Chelsea, in case of a slip, is Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion and Manchester City with 2-1-0 records.

Swansea is sitting in second place, West Brom is in third and Man City is in fourth.

Swansea has defeated Queens Park Rangers, West Ham United and recently in their latest match, had a draw with Sunderland.

They have score 10 goals and only allowed one.

West Brom surprised Liverpool 3-0 in their first match of the year. They had a draw with Tottenham and defeated Everton on Saturday.

Manchester City won against Southampton in their first match, tied with Liverpool and defeated Queens Park Rangers in their most recent match. They have scored eight goals but have given up five so far in the season, which places them behind Swansea City and West Brom.

Manchester United is hanging around in the fifth position after starting off the 2012-2013 campaign 2-0-1. With their last victory over Southampton, they bumped up from ninth to fifth place.

Here is what the remainder of the standings look like after three weeks of English Premier League matches.
